Wattando presents pluggable feed-in solution up to 70 kilowatts at Intersolar Europe and announces distribution partner for Germany

Dresden, June 14, 2023

At the start of Intersolar 2023, Wattando announces Wattkraft, general distributor and one of Huawei's largest European partners, as its first sales partner for Germany. The Wattster energy management system, which has won several awards in recent months, can now be ordered from Wattkraft.

Wattster makes it possible for the first time to connect systems from 1kW to 70 kilowatts easily and quickly as a plug-in solution to existing electrical installations. This allows significantly more people to benefit from self-generated or stored electricity.

"Only a fraction of the previous installation time is required for system integration, because Wattster makes use of the infrastructure already in place for this purpose," says Boris Klebensberger, CEO and co-founder of Wattando. "We want to make a significant contribution to the goals of solar energy expansion in Europe with this simplified and faster connection type. With its focus on innovation and practicality, Wattkraft is an excellent partner for this. We look forward to taking the next steps together in the important German market."

Mike Renner, COO of Wattkraft, is convinced of the innovative power: "By adding the Wattster system to our Huawei product portfolio, we are significantly expanding the market for PV installations by giving our customers access to new customer groups. At the same time, it also gives our customers the opportunity to commission more installations, without additional human resources, and significantly increase their sales."

Wattando's energy management system takes into account national specifications for the feed behind the fuse and for the load on the feed lines. The power spectrum of the Wattster portfolio ranges from 1 to 9 kilowatts in the single-phase variant and from 3 to 70 kilowatts in the three-phase variant. Connection is possible via standard feed-in plugs or directly to distribution boxes.

The system also includes an app developed by Wattando for completely digital commissioning of the system with inverter. "Installers can use it to configure the system with just a few clicks and adapt it to the existing electrical installation. We are very pleased to be able to present our solution as a joint installation with an inverter from Huawei at the Wattkraft stand," says Stefan Ulfert, co-founder responsible for marketing and digital products.

About Wattando

Wattando GmbH develops solutions that enable installers to meet the high demand for PV and storage systems more efficiently than before. For this purpose, Wattando offers the energy management system "Wattster", which enables the simpler and faster integration of classic solar systems and storage units - and this for systems with a power spectrum of 1 kilowatt to 44 kilowatts. The numerous structural changes to electrical installations, juxtaposed with an ever-increasing shortage of skilled workers, are considered one of the major obstacles to a broad-based energy turnaround. Wattando was founded by Boris Klebensberger, former COO of Solarworld AG, and Stefan Ulfert, digital product and marketing strategist.

Wattando is part of the de:hub network, the digital ecosystem for startups of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, as well as part of TELEKOM TECH BOOST, Deutsche Telekom's startup program.
